k. Tighten the filter an additional ½ to ¾ turn by

hand.

IMPORTANT

Do not use a filter wrench to install the oil

filter. Over-tightening can damage the

gasket and filter.

l. Install the oil pan drain plug (C).

m. Remove oil filler pipe cap (B), and add engine oil.

The engine requires 10.6 U.S. quarts (10 litres) of

SAE 15W40 Compliant with SAE Specs for API

Class SJ and CH-4 Engine Oil.

n. Operate the engine at low idle, and check for

leaks at the filter and drain plug.

o. Stop the engine, wait 5 minutes, and check the oil

level. Add or remove oil to bring oil to HIGH level

mark on dipstick.

p. Close engine compartment hood.

q. Properly dispose of used oil and filter.
